This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 31, 2007:
On October 24th I found out that I have what looks like the beginning of cervical cancer. When the abnormal areas were biopsied my doctors both agreed the best thing to do is to surgically remove all abnormal cells and one kept referring to it as a "chunk" of my cervix. Hmm.
Well, thank goodness for excellent healthcare, for a good sense of humor, for preventative care, and anesthesiologists, because just thinking about surgery there makes me queasy and every time she said "chunk" I thought I was going to fall over cold. I'm scared as heck but grateful to know and be able to get it taken care of early.

Had this procedure in 1981. Would be happy to talk to you about it dear one! My doctor used to have me call her patients who were having this done after I did!
:)
loving you,
Aley
You're just so kind, I'm only just now finding all of your sweet comments. I'll get the hang of this, it's like hunting for Easter eggs. I actually feel much better after talking with my dad of all people. he always does make me feel better though. He's a 7th and 8th grade math teacher who is about to retire, so for the last five years or so he has been studying massage therapy as something he might do as something new.
He has over 3,000 hours of training time in all types of therapy and he reminded me that worrying and nervousness is very negative energy and really accomplishes nothing good. He encouraged me to think very positively and get as healthy as possible in the next few weeks to get myself ready for this for a quick recovery.
It was just the rap on the head I needed. I'd never consider myself a worrier and I already feel better with that off my shoulders. I do have a question or two for you, but I'll send those in messages. Thanks again, you are most wonderful!
love,
Anna
